The Campbell House is located in Southern Pines at 482 E. Connecticut Ave. It is actually owned by the Town of Southern Pines. The Southern Pines Parks & Recreation Department is headquartered on the second floor. Here’s the important stuff about the Campbell House.
- If you are looking to buy local, original artwork for your Pinehurst or Southern Pines home, the Campbell House is a great resource.
- It is home to the Arts Council of Moore County, which has been instrumental in promoting the arts in Moore County for many years. ACMC is a great place to volunteer if you have an interest in art.
- There is almost always an art exhibit in the Campbell House. Check their website for a calendar of gallery openings. http://www.artscouncil-moore.org/index.html.
- You can rent the Campbell House for events at a very reasonable price. It is a wonderful place for a gathering, and it’s always nice to have the art as a background.
- There is a great public park on the grounds of the Campbell House – perfect for sunbathing or just spending time outdoors. There’s also a chipping green to practice your short game.
- Sign up at the ACMC office for an Art Tour of a museum somewhere else in North Carolina or somewhere else in the United States. It can be a lot of fun to take one of these trips with a group – and the Campbell House is the perfect place to find that group!
