 Pinehurst No. 6 is the newest of the original six Pinehurst courses. Course 1 – 5 are located at the main Pinehurst Country Club, while No. 6 is located in a large Pinehurst Residential Neighborhood called – you guessed it, Pinehurst No. 6. The course was renovated in 2005 by Tom Fazio, and after you have played it, you'll be a believer in the quality of Fazio courses. The Par 3's are very long and usually have challenging hazards. The Par 4's have tough greens all requiring accurate approach shots. The Par 5's are not just long – several of them have dog legs that tempt you to try and hit long draws or fades that you might not be able to pull off. The course plays close to 7,000 yards if you play from the pro tees, and just over 6,500 if you play from the Men's Tees.
Pinehurst No. 6 has its own very small clubhouse, pro shop and grille. It also has a very nice practice facility. If you own property in the Pinehurst No. 6 neighborhood, this is the place to make your golfing home base. Some residents even have their own golf carts so that they can ride to club right from home!

The Bottom Line
This is one of the best courses at Pinehurst CC, and is also one of the best golf neighborhoods in Pinehurst . In fact, it is hands down the best golf community that's not gated. No. 6 is also open to Pinehurst Resort guests on some days. From the Pro Tees, this course is a very difficult course.
