Our online Pinehurst Home Search Page gives you access to all the Pinehurst MLS listings, including a much wider area. But here are a few things to know that will make your search for real estate more productive and efficient, no matter where you look.
- Use Pre-Defined Quick Searches if Available -
This may return more listings than very narrow searches, but they are quicker and you
are not likely to miss some properties that you might want to review.
- Request More Info -
The most important info about an MLS listing may be the number of days a house has been for sale or the number of other homes for sale in the same neighborhood. That
information does not show up online because the services that realtors use to display listings can be very limited. At McDevitt Sotheby’s International Realty, we will be happy to provide that information to you upon request.
- Look at Property in a Large Price Range -
If you go to buy a car, you look at cars that cost less than you want to spend and cars that cost more. That way, you can compare the inventory in your price range to inventory in other price ranges – you get a much better idea about value. Looking is free.
- Search in Neighboring Communities -
Again, it is free to look. When we work with clients, we introduce them to homes in a variety of communities unless they are 100% sure they want to limit their search to only one place. Quite often, buyers choose to buy in a community that they did not search for originally – but it turns out to be a perfect match.
- Use the Mapping Function -
It is always useful to see the location of a house or lot within a community. This can give you very valuable info. For example, you want to know if the property is on a busy street, near a shopping center, on a large corner lot, etc. More information is always better than less.
We can help by sending you our Pinehurst Area Sourcebook, which is a bound book prepared with input from our Clients who have relocated to the Pinehurst and Southern Pines area. The Sourcebook is full of local info. Call 888-788-8814.
