 PINEHURST AND SOUTHERN PINES , NC ( May 30, 2007 ). McDevitt Sotheby's International Realty announced today that the Firm has become a Roxy Sponsor to support the Sunrise Theater in Southern Pines, contributing financially to promote the Theater's 2007 Music Series.
"The Sunrise has done a great job bringing big city entertainers to our small town, and we want them to continue the good work they are doing to make our community a wonderful place to live" said Noel McDevitt of McDevitt Sotheby's, adding "it is important for us to set an example and encourage everyone to attend these concerts and events." The 2007 Music Series will feature performances by a number of noted artists and bands, including Loudon Wainwright, The Nighthawks and the Kruger Brothers. The Nighthawk's concert will be the main event during the 6 th Annual Blues Crawl in downtown Southern Pines.
The traditional "Raisin' the Roof" program will be held in the Sunrise Theater for the 7 th consecutive year. This event has its roots in the initial efforts to raise funds for the restoration of the historic Sunrise Theater; and it is one of the Theater's most popular events. The Music Series will conclude on November 15, 2007 with a production of the timeless holiday classic " It's A Wonderful Life". There will be a variety of other events as well.
